VitrA UK - Grand Designs Finalist
For the second year on a row, VitrA have been a finalist at the Grand Designs awards ceremony. The VitrA MOD range which is Lovegrove's second range for VitrA was a finalist for the Bathroom Product of the Year award. On the 8th June 2007, 912 guests descended on The Platinum Suite at Dockland's Excel, for the Grand Designs Magazine Awards 2007... Cocktails, posh-nosh, lively conversation and some flamboyant dancing, topped off a night of reward for the cream of architecture and product design. This year we received over 1000 entries from around the world, giving our esteemed judges a tough job to select just 100 finalists.

VitrA develops secret storage solutions
International bathroom brand, VitrA has developed a number of cleverly built storage solutions to answer the ever-growing demand for hidden cupboards within bathrooms.

Softcube range
The Softcube range offers a bold, striking design combined with smooth, softly rounded contours which include ten multifunctional furniture items that are perfect for those seeking storage and style in the bathroom.
All pieces in the range compliment one other, with the distinctive Softcube styling flowing effortlessly through from swivel storage units to the basin and mirror. The pure white contrasts spectacularly with the chrome finish, giving an ultra modern, stylish look to any bathroom without compromising on practicality.
The revolving storage unit which features a full length mirror on one side and shelving on the other is perfect for disguising clothing, dressing gowns or even unsightly wet towels. Similarly, the Softcube Mirror Sliding Unit is designed around deep cube shapes and curved edges. Made from lacquered MDF, it has ample storage space to keep toiletries and cosmetics tidy.

Piu Due and Espace ranges
In addition to the Softcube range, the 360° revolving unit, which typically features a full-length mirror on one side and shelved compartments or clothing hooks on the other, also features in VitrA's Piu Due range. This storage solution is a concept born out of many requests for a multi-functional and space-saving storage piece that could keep items easily accessible but hidden away neatly.
VitrA has also identified the need for cleverly compartmentalised furniture pieces that could keep essential items to hand but stowed away separately – such as keeping household cleaners away from bathing products, or dirty laundry away from clean towels. Several of the units within the Piu Due and Espace ranges feature drawers with dividers and 'secret' compartments that serve this purpose well.
